2007 Juniper Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Review Click Here for More
I have revisited this several times over the course of writing this year's Guide and have upped the ante to place this in the very top level of Margaret River Cabernet. This has a youthful allure about it and is just settling into stride on the nose. Smells of moch-scented oak give way to leaves and cassis, fresh picked roasting herbs and some earthy nuances too. The palate has lively, supple berry uptake amid rich, swirling tannins that straighten through the middle and pin the finish into long, even shape. Toasty oak adds swanky style. This is quite a wine, immaculately complete in every sense. Juniper has truly arrived.

2008 Juniper Estate Chardonnay review Click Here for More
I’m impressed. This is a stunning Chardonnay from Juniper Estate. It just delivers so perfectly in all its dimensions so well. The fruit is tantalising – its classic nectarine with lemon sherbet essences, tropical fruit notes are just classic and this is accompanied with an overall tightness of cashew oak, lightly spiced at that. Creamy soft yet with a neat tanginess at the rear, the purity of the fruit really sets itself off in a polished elegant way. The length goes forever, and the flavours are dynamic, active and ongoing. I thoroughly enjoyed this Chardonnay and so did all around me!
Food Match: Prawns in a creamy sauce.
Alc: 14.0%.
Price: $35.00.
Winemaker: Mark Messenger.
Rating: 95/100 – Superb.

2009 Juniper Crossing Semillon Sauvignon Blanc review Click Here for More
I reckon this is the best example of this blend under this label yet. I like the small-barrel ferment influence and some subtle bâtonnage to add some texture. At the same time the aromatic characters of these varieties are retained. A beautiful short-term cellaring wine.

2007 Juniper Crossing Cabernet Merlot Click Here for More
Fits snugly into the stylish groove for this blend. Fleshy fruit and mild supple tannins with some understated oak. It adds up to a pleasant easy drinking wine with typical Margaret River character. A slightly sappy astringency on the finish at this stage. 88/100

2009 Juniper Crossing Rosé Click Here for More
A tad frantic in getting this one written up as I would hate the 2010 vintage to hit my desk before getting this intoprint. Call it the last of the Summer wine, the time in the bottle, and on our tasting bench hasn’t hurt this at all. Indeed I like the lush fresh watermelon lift that this has all the way through. Made in the saignée method, it is soft tempered gentile and yet still imparted with succulence and character to the end. I await the 10. Try it with marinatedpork Vietnamese style. Drink Now. About $18. 13.5%. 88/100 – Very Good
