A fine, clearly defined winewith nectarine fruit and some compelling toasty complexity from the well handled oak; the palate is quite fine, focused and long, with real depth and power to the finish. Screwcap. 13% alc. Rating 93 Drink 2015 Date Tasted Nov 08

This wine has an attractive green/gold colour with some development showing on the bouquet, which is perfumed and clean. It is an elegant style with nice length and an excellent finish.

Stylish Chardonnay for the money – this is one of the great value Chardys on the shelf. Ripe melon and stone fruit here, a good slice of suave French timber and a finish like a freight train – zesty, balanced and direct.

WBM 100, Chardonnay tasting, Nick Stock, November 2008
It smells and tastes of melon, stonefruit, a bit of funk and savoury lees with a little spicy vanilla oak folded in. There’s a suggestion of pineapple richness but it’s pared back with a little squeeze of grapefruit. It’s a little bit hard and clunky but also fresh and good to drink, offering a good Chardonnay experience at a fair price. Oh and I like the finish which has a nice grapefruit and flint character that makes you want to go again. Rated : 89 Points
