The eagerly awaited 2018 Tribute Cabernet Sauvignon is the third vintage of this wine, following releases from 2013 and 2016. The Tribute is only made in exceptional years, from a single block at our Wilyabrup vineyard.

The evening will feature the new 2018 Tribute with a comparison to the 2016 vintage, and also showcase the current release Cornerstone wines and a selection from our museum. 

Generous canapes will be served throughout.

The vines for this wine sit atop the crest of our 1973-planted dry grown vineyard, managed with deep understanding and respect for the soil, individual vine, vineyard, and region. Our philosophy of sustainable viticulture is embodied by our long-term Viticulturist, Ianto Ward, whose approach is to treat the vineyard like a bank account – invest more than we withdraw. This requires significant manual intervention from our team, focussing on things like soil health, pruning technique, cover crops and fruit exposure. In the winery it is squarely about getting out of the way, allowing the fruit to express its place and vintage. It is at the margins where former Chief Winemaker, Mark Messenger who made this wine, would earn his keep – an eye for detail and the marriage of many years of experience and execution."Tom Hill CEO
