Latest News > 2009 Juniper Crossing Semillon Sauvignon Blanc
The Crossing wines fulfill a different purpose from the Estate wines. They are our more easy drinking style with an appropriately lower price tag. We would like them to be enjoyed every day while the Estate wines remain the pinnacle of our ambitions, spending more time in oak (in the case of the reds) and being released later. .

Top Aussie White
Restrained nose with dusty, herby, mineral notes and a suggestion of barrel influence. Savoury, dry and flavoursome with depth, structure and a slight grip to finish. Enough concentration to keep a few years. Very tasty. 90/100 Food: Sautéed crab with artichoke and polenta.
Huon Hooke, The Sydney Morning Herald, Good Living – Tastings, 13 July 2010
I reckon this is the best example of this blend under this label yet. I like the small-barrel ferment influence and some subtle bâtonnage to add some texture. At the same time the aromatic characters of these varieties are retained. A beautiful short-term cellaring wine.
93/100
Ray Jordan, Wine, The West Australian 11th March 2010
Slightly shy to start with on the nose, this has plenty of apple and melon fruit and light dried herbs too. The palate is neatly cut between citrus and tropical flavours, smoothly polished from front to back. Drink now.
91/100
