The 2008 vintage was a terrific one with plenty of sunshine for close to perfect Autumn ripening allowing for long hang time on the vine. There was no problem getting the Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux varieties flavour and tannin ripe with balanced crops and canopies. The 2008 Higher Plane Cabernet Sauvignon is made 100% from our Estate vines grown in the southern part of Margaret River. Hence this is a single vineyard wine representing the best portions of wine that reflect the nature of the site and the weather conditions of the 2008 vintage. Elegant structure, complexity, depth of quality fruit and balance were the key goals.
