2014 Higher Plane The Messenger

A beguiling dark crimson in appearance. The bouquet shows aromas of violets, red & black berries & currants, & just a touch of liquorice. Notes of cedar, vanilla bean & a hint of salted caramel all come from the oak. The palate is layered with juicy fruit notes & extremely fine tannins, which support the mouthfeel from the start through to the vibrant finish. It will cellar to 2033 comfortably. Excellent with Lamb tagliata with broccolini dressed with anchovy & chilli butter, or lentil, sweet potato & chickpea stew
