Pale straw with a silvery green hue. An enticing bouquet of citrus blossom & lemon meringue, with honeydew melon, hazelnut complexity, & sea spray freshness. Medium-bodied in weight, smooth, fine & plush with juicy ripe citrus, early stone fruit, some mealy notes & biscuity oak leading to a long silky finish.

Vineyard
100% Gingin clone, hand-picked from 24th February – 1st March 2022 between 11.6° – 11.9° Bé. Sourced from a single north facing block on our close-planted Karridale property in the Forest Grove subregion of southern Margaret River
Wet winter & spring led to reduced yields. Warm, dry summer & autumn brought exceptional quality.
Winery
On arrival at the winery, the fruit was chilled overnight & then gently whole bunch pressed straight to 228L Burgundy barrels (of which 35% were new) & allowed to undergo a wild ferment. Early discretionary lees stirring was carried out & malolactic fermentation was blocked. The wine was aged for nine months. After a rigorous barrel selection, the wine was blended, filtered, but not fined & bottled in December 2022
