First, after 18 months in barrel this batch stood out in the barrel selection tasting as being a cut above the rest. It was decided that it would be sacrilegious to blend away its uniqueness. The next and more profound influence was the fact that the founder of Juniper, Roger Hill, tragically died a couple of months after the 2013 vintage. Roger’s vision was to make a truly great Margaret River Cabernet. This single block Cabernet is the culmination of the vision and experience of many.
